Winter Storms

I just love winter storms here in Ireland. Ok, so they are nothing like hurricanes, and tornadoes are extremely rare, but the wind and the rain and the sound of is all is just so incredible to me! I wish life's storms were the same! But alas - the reason why I love a good weather storm is because I can enjoy it from the protection of a warm, sturdy home that allows me the luxury of watching and slightly experiencing the storm without the danger. Life's storms are usually head on, and natural protection is pretty minimal. But then there is Jesus!
I am more glad to be saved then ever before, because I know the value of a sturdy "Rock" to be surrounded by, and protected by! Yes, I may go through many a storm, but my Saviour has his mighty hand AROUND me, and protects me (actually shields me) from the brunt of every storm that threatens my soul!
I need to just remember to enjoy the storms of life just as much as the storms of weather, since in both storms, I am protected! Hallelujah
"And the LORD ... shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain." Isaiah 4:5,6

I've left the storms of Ireland behind me!! I've being living in Australia for 20 years and have just recently been baptised in a Baptist Church. I was looking for Baptist Churches in my native Cork area and visited your blog to better appreciate the pastor.
Yes, it is so good to feel the Lord's arm around you when the storms strike and He has been very kind and supportive to my children and I.
